FRO.LU is a citizen-driven parliamentary oversight platform for Luxembourg, created and operated by Sensibilité Politique PIRATEN. It bridges the gap between the public and their elected representatives by enabling residents to suggest questions for formal submission to the Government.
FRO.LU is the first platform in Luxembourg to establish a direct mechanism allowing citizens to influence the parliamentary question process. Since its launch in 2019, it has enabled hundreds of questions to be proposed, debated and formally submitted to the Chamber of Deputies.
FRO.LU was born out of the core PIRATEN belief in participative democracy — the idea that citizens should have a direct and meaningful say in how they are governed, beyond simply casting a vote every five years. By giving everyone the ability to propose, discuss and vote on parliamentary questions, FRO.LU puts democratic oversight directly in the hands of the people.
Any resident or worker in Luxembourg can propose a Parliamentary Question on FRO.LU. The community can discuss, refine, and vote on suggestions. Members of Parliament Sven CLEMENT and Marc GOERGEN review the most supported questions and may choose to formally submit them to the Chamber of Deputies. The Government is then legally obliged to respond, and all official responses are published on this platform.
FRO.LU is operated by Sensibilité Politique PIRATEN, the parliamentary group of the Pirate Party Luxembourg. The platform operates across four languages — French, German, English and Lëtzebuergesch — reflecting Luxembourg's multilingual society.
